str.ljust(width: int, fillchar: str = ' ') → ps.Series¶ Filling right side of strings in the Series with an additional character. Equivalent to
str.ljust().- Parameters
- widthint
Minimum width of resulting string; additional characters will be filled with fillchar.
- fillcharstr
Additional character for filling, default is whitespace.
- Returns
- Series of object
Examples
>>> s = ps.Series(["caribou", "tiger"]) >>> s 0 caribou 1 tiger dtype: object
>>> s.str.ljust(width=10, fillchar='-') 0 caribou--- 1 tiger----- dtype: object
